1 Amp, 100 Volt Schottky Bridge Rectifier. August 16, 2006 - Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the release of the new CMF5.0A Series transient voltage suppressors (TVS) packaged in the SOD-123F surface mount package. The series includes reverse stand-off voltages from 5.0V thru 170V all with a peak power of 200W. Designed for protecting sensitive electronic components from high voltage transients, these new devices are ideal for industrial, computer, consumer electronics, and Power over Ethernet (PoE) applications.

The SOD-123F, with outline dimensions of 1.8 x 2.8 x 0.98 mm, is essentially the same size as the SOD-123, but that is where the similarity ends. The SOD-123F has flat leads providing better circuit board contact area and higher power handling capability compared with the SOD-123's gull wing leads. The most notable difference with the SOD-123F is the entirely unique internal construction utilizing a jumper bar to attach the top of the chip to the lead frame. June 13, 2006 - Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the release of the CMKTC825A temperature compensated (TC) Zener diode packaged in a space saving ULTRAmini SOT-363 surface mount case. This new device is the World's first TC Zener in a plastic surface mount package. Utilizing a new proprietary process technique, the CMKTC825A provides a highly stable reference voltage of 6.2V with only a small change of less than 0.28mV/°C over the temperature range of -55°C to +100°C. This is a considerable improvement compared to a standard Zener diode, which typically exhibits a voltage change of 500mV over the same temperature range, In addition, the CMKTC825A occupies only 4.2mm² of circuit board space and has a low profile of 1.0mm.

Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the release of the CMXZ2V4TO Series of Triple Isolated Zener Diodes arranged in an alternating configuration and packaged in a surface mount SOT-26 case. These new voltage regulator diodes are designed for use in industrial, commercial, entertainment and computer applications. Zener voltages (VZ) in this series range from 2.4 to 47 volts. The CMXZ2V4TO series replaces the need for three individual devices, saving circuit board space and assembly cost. The SOT-26 utilizes approximately 54% less board space than three individual SOD-123 devices.

Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the release of the CMDSH-4E Enhanced Specification SUPERmini™ surface mount Schottky diode. This new diode is rated at 40V (max) peak repetitive reverse voltage, more than a 30% increase compared with the standard CMDSH-3 device. The average forward current of the CMDSH-4E is 200mA (max), which is two times the current of the CMDSH-3. In addition the CMDSH-4E exhibits a typical low forward voltage drop of 0.37V and a fast t rr of 5nS (max).

This SUPERmini™ diode in the SOD-323 package boasts the same small signal specifications as larger SOD-123 devices, but requires approximately 48% less circuit board space. With a nominal profile of 1.0mm, this generation of smaller discrete semiconductors manufactured by Central is optimal for portable handheld electronic devices requiring superior performance and reliability in the small surface mount package.

Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the release of the CMFBR-6F tiny bridge rectifier. This new device consists of a monolithic, fast switching chip with four, 60V, 140mA high speed, low leakage switching diodes, configured as a full wave bridge rectifier, and packaged in a SOT-143 surface mount case. With a low capacitance of 5pF, low leakage of 10nA (max.) and a fast switching speed of 1.0µs (typ.), the CMFBR-6F is perfect for the latest computer and peripheral equipment circuits requiring efficient uniform response characteristics for critical design applications. In addition, this new device utilizes 69% less board space than four individual SOD-123 devices and boasts a maximum profile height of 1.14mm.

The new Central Semiconductor CMPD2005S consists of two 350 volt switching diodes with an in-series configuration. This new surface mount device boasts a maximum per diode rated peak repetitive reverse voltage of 350V and the maximum rated peak repetitive reverse current of 200 mA. These ratings surpass the industry standard 300V CMPD2004S device. In addition, the maximum forward voltage drop is a respectable 0.87V. Packaged in the standard SOT-23 surface mount case, this device manufactured by Central was designed for applications requiring an increased maximum voltage. The in-series configuration provides the option for using the two diodes as a single 700V device.

Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the release of the CMLDM7002A, Dual N-Channel Enhancement-mode DMOS FET. This new PICOmini™ device is the smallest Dual DMOS FET and provides improved specifications when compared to the industry standard 2N7002 device type. The CMLDM7002A consists of two individual 7002A DMOS FETs manufactured by the N-Channel DMOS process, and is epoxy molded in a six lead SOT-563 surface mount package. The SOT-563 utilizes 68% less board space than an equivalent device packaged in a SOT-26 case. This device boasts a low V_{DS (ON)} of 1.0 Volt (max) and is perfect for motor control, high speed pulsed amplifier and general purpose line driver applications. The CMLDM7002A is also available with the alternative pinout, which reverses the pinout of the Source and Gate on both devices. Central Semiconductor Corp.announces the release of the CZSH5-40, the smallest surface mount 5 Amp Power Schottky Rectifier packaged in the small signal SOT-223 case. This new device is a single 5.0 Amp, 40 Volt chip manufactured by the epitaxial planar process and designed to meet high current DC/DC or AC/DC rectification applications for all types of commercial, industrial, entertainment, computer and automotive products. 

The CZSH5-40 provides a lower (1.7mm) profile than the standard DPAK (2.4mm) or SMC (2.6mm) packages. The CZSH5-40 also utilizes approximately 30% less board space than an equivalent device in a DPAK. The CZSH5-40 is perfect for half-brick and quarter-brick power supply designs where board space and component height is critical. Central is also in development of a 10 Amp dual chip version of the CZSH5-40 scheduled for release mid August 2003.
