CMRDM3575

New Space Saving
Dual Complementary
N-Channel and
P-Channel MOSFETs
in the SOT-963

 

The new Central Semiconductor Corp. dual complementary CMRDM3575 consists of a 20V, 160mA N-Channel and a 20V, 140mA P-Channel MOSFET. Packaged in the ultra miniature SOT-963 surface mount case, this new device is an integrated solution designed for circuits requiring N-Channel and P-Channel MOSFETs with comparable electrical characteristics. The CMRDM3575 is ideal for power management applications, such as synchronous load rectification or buck conversion.

The CMRDM3575 utilizes approximately 1.1 square millimeter of board space and requires approximately 61% less board space than the SOT-563. In addition to the space savings, the CMRDM3575 has a low 0.5mm package height making it perfect for today’s most challenging space constrained portable hand held electronics.

CMLM8205

Space Saving, Energy Efficient
50V, 280mA P-Channel MOSFET

CMLM8205

Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the release of the CMLM8205 Multi Discrete Module in the SOT-563 surface mount package. This device features a 50V, 280mA P-channel enhancement mode MOSFET and an isolated 40V, 500mA low VF Schottky diode. The MOSFET has a minimum gate threshold of 1.0V and the Schottky diode has a low forward voltage drop of 0.35V at 100mA.

This energy efficient device can be used in a variety of design applications including; DC to DC converters, battery charging circuits in mobile electronics and a host of other power management applications. The SOT-563 package utilizes only 2.89 sq mm of board space and has a low profile of 0.6mm. The CMLM8205 is the latest in a series of Multi Discrete Modules designed to maximize board space utilization, while at the same time reducing overall energy consumption. The complementary CMLM0205 N-channel MOSFET and 40V, 500mA low VF Schottky diode is also available from stock.

This new energy efficient device has a low reverse leakage current of 0.7uA and addresses the need for a space saving 2A, 100V full wave bridge rectifier essential for today’s power management, solid state lighting, and power over ethernet applications.

The space saving advantage of the CBRHDSH2-100 is a 50% reduction in utilized board space compared to four individual Schottky rectifiers in the SMA package. Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the release of the CMNTVS12V 12V Transient Voltage Suppressor package in the ultra-miniature SOT-953 surface mount case. This new circuit protection device can handle up to 18W of peak power and an ESD voltage of 8kV. Designed to protect static sensitive data interfaces against ESD damage, the low profile CMNTVS12V is ideal for small portable hand held electronic devices such as cell phones, digital cameras, memory card ports, music players, or any device with an active data port. CMBT3904E (NPN) & CMBT3906E (PNP)

Low VCE(SAT) Transistor in the SOT-923 package
August 11, 2009

Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the release of the CMBT3904E (NPN) and CMBT3906E (PNP) small signal transistors in the space saving SOT-923 surface mount package. Both devices are 40V general purpose transistors with a maximum collector current of 200mA and outstanding low typical VCE(SAT) specifications of 0.057V @ 10mA and 0.1V @ 50mA.

The SOT-923 surface mount package has a maximum profile (height) of 0.41mm and occupies 1.1mm x 0.65mm of board space. These new devices are ideal for today’s smallest electronic products, utilizing 75% less board space than the SOT-523 with a 47% lower profile. This package has a power dissipation of 100mW and is RoHS compliant.

Low VF Schottky rectifier
with improved power dissipation

The Central Semiconductor CTLSH1-40M563 is a 1A, 40V Schottky rectifier packaged in the TLM563 surface mount case. Designed to be a drop-in replacement for existing SOT-563 devices, this new device also provides outstanding low VF characteristics, improved power dissipation, and a lower profile than the SOT-563 package.

CTLSH1-40M563 has a low forward voltage drop of only 290mV @ 10mA, and 450mV @ 500mA, and is ideal for portable battery powered applications. Longer on-state conditions often necessitate larger package types to handle higher power requirements. The CTLSH1-40M563’s 500mW power dissipation rating is a 43% improvement over the 350mW devices in SOT-563.

In addition to superior electrical specifications, the CTLSH1-40M563 packaged in the TLM563 case has a maximum profile of 0.43mm which is 28% lower than in SOT-563, and effectively addresses height limitations of less than 0.6mm.

Dual Pair, Common Cathode Low VF Schottky Diodes
CMLSH2-4LC

40V, 200mA

The CMLSH2-4LC is a dual pair of low VF Schottky diodes packaged in the space saving SOT-563 surface mount case. This device has two isolated pairs of 40V, 200mA Schottky diodes in a common cathode configuration making it one of the world’s smallest discrete dual diode pair device. The CMLSH2-4LC has a typical low VF of 0.24V and a typical switching speed of 3.5ns and is ideal for a wide range of portable battery powered circuit applications.

The CMLSH2-4LC in the six lead SOT-563 case with a maximum height of 0.6mm has a 45% lower profile than its predecessor the SOT-363 (1.1mm) and utilizes 42% less board space. CMRDM3590

The CMRDM3590 is a dual, N-Channel Enhancement-mode MOSFET packaged in the space saving SOT-963 surface mount case. This device has two individual isolated 20V, 160mA MOSFETs allowing for alternative design considerations and maximum efficiency of board space. The maximum rDS(ON) of the device is 3.0Ω at a test condition of ID=100mA and VGS=4.5V. Circuit applications included: load power switches, power supply converters, and other power management applications.

The CMLDM7003 is a dual N-Channel Enhancement-mode MOSFET with built-in 2kV ESD protection. This device has two isolated 50V, 280mA MOSFETs with a transient voltage suppressor across the source and gate as an added protection against high voltage transient conditions. CTLS5064-M532 and CTLS5064R-M532

Low Profile 400V, 0.8A SCR
February 24, 2009 – Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the release of the CTLS5064-M532 and CTLS5064R-M532 Low Profile SCR devices packaged in the TLM532 surface mount case. Both devices are single 400V, 0.8A SCRs designed for applications with extreme height limitation. The CTLS5064R-M532 device is a version with the pin configuration of the cathode and gate reversed to meet an alternative layout requirement. The key electrical characteristics of these devices include: 0.8V gate threshold voltage, 200µA gate threshold current, and an on-state switching speed of 2.8µs.

The TLM532 is a DFN package with an overall dimension of 2.1mm x 3.1mm x 1.0mm (L x W x H). It is approximately the same size as the SOT-23. The CTLS5064-M532 replaces the CMPS5064 SOT-23 version for new designs. Central also manufactures the 200V, 0.8A CMPS5062 in the SOT-23. These SCR devices are suitable for applications requiring a fast switching high voltage device with a low profile. Ideal products include: digital camera flash, GFI protection, detectors and sensors, lamp driver, and small motor control.

Both devices are 60 Volt, 1.0 Amp transistors with exceptionally low VCE(SAT) characteristics. The NPN CMLT3820G specifies a VCE(SAT) of 115mV @ 100mA, and 280mV @ 1.0A, while the complementary PNP CMLT7820G is listed as 175mV @ 100mA and 340mV @1.0A.

In addition to superior electrical specifications, the CMLT3820G and CMLT7820G are packaged in the SOT-563 case with a maximum height of 0.60mm. Low VF characteristics

January 21, 2009Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the release of the CMPSH1-4L and CMPSH1-4LE Low VF Schottky rectifiers with superior low VF characteristics and packaged in the SOT-23F surface mount case. The CMPSH1-4L features a low forward voltage drop of 270mV @ 100mA, and 390mV @ 1.0A, while the enhanced version CMLPSH1-4LE, features low leakage currents of 200µA @ 5.0 Volts and 900µA @ 40 Volts.

In addition to superior electrical specifications, the CMPSH1-4L and CMPSH-4LE are packaged in the SOT-23F providing a 9% lower profile than the standard SOT-23 with a maximum height of 1.0mm. These energy efficient devices are ideal for portable battery powered applications where extending the battery charge duration is a prime requirement. These devices were developed in response to customers’ inquiries requesting alternative electrical characteristics to meet specific design requirements.

November 19, 2008Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the release of the CET3904E (NPN) and CET3906E (PNP) small signal transistors in the surface mount SOT-883L TLP™ tiny leadless package. Both devices are 40V general purpose transistors with a maximum collector current of 200mA and enhanced VCE(SAT) specifications. In comparison with the industry standard maximum VCE(SAT) specification of 0.2V @ 10mA and 0.3V @ 50mA, the CET3904E and CET3906E boast enhanced VCE(SAT) values of 0.1V (max.) and 0.057V (typ.) @ 10mA and 0.2V (max.) and 0.1V (typ.) @ 50mA.

The SOT-883L leadless package has a maximum profile (height) of 0.4mm and occupies 1.05mm x 0.65mm of board space making these devices ideal for today’s smallest electronic products. This package also provides superior power dissipation of 250mW compared with the similar sized SOT-923 case rated at 100mW. The CET3904E and CET3906E in the SOT-883L are Pb free and RoHS compliant.

70V, 15mA Schottky Diode in the SOD-923 package.

October 15, 2008- Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the release of the CMAD6263 in the tiny SOD-923 surface mount package. This device is a 70V, 15mA Schottky diode with a maximum VF of 410mV at 1.0mA, typically measuring 395mV. The reverse leakage current typically measures 98nA at 50V with a maximum limit of 200nA.

The SOD-923 is the world’s smallest surface mount package and utilizes 55% less board space than the SOD-523 package. In addition, the maximum profile (height) of the SOD-923 is 0.016 inch (0.41mm) being 48% lower than the SOD-523, making this package ideal for today’s ultra thin electronic products. The maximum overall dimensions are 0.026 inch (0.65mm) x 0.043 inch (1.1mm) with a power dissipation rating of 100mW and an operating temperature range of -65°C to +150°C.

The energy efficient CMAD6263 is ideal for portable hand held battery powered products including: cell phones, Smart phones, digital cameras, test equipment, and analyzers. 5A, 400V Glass Passivated Ultra Fast Rectifier.

September 23, 2008- Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the release of the CPR5U-040 5A, 400V, Ultra Fast Recovery rectifier with a switching speed of 25ns and packaged in the GPR-4AM voidless glass bead axial leaded case. The CPR5U-040 is manufactured with a high temperature (660°C) metallurgical bond and is encapsulated in solid glass for maximum protection and passivation of the silicon chip. The CPR5U-040 meets or exceeds the performance characteristics of other manufacturers’ similar glass bead rectifiers, which are not readily available.

The CPR5U-040 is ideal for commercial, industrial, entertainment, avionics, and automotive applications, and is most commonly used for ultra fast rectification in switch mode power supplies, and half and full wave bridge rectification where a highly reliable hermetically sealed device is required.

The axial leaded GPR-4AM package has a nominal body diameter of 0.15 inch (3.8mm) and a nominal lead diameter of 0.040 inch (1.0mm). In addition to the 400 Volt version, the 200V CPR5U-020 is also available and the 600V CPR5U-060 is available on special order.

Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the release of two new Multi Discrete ModuleT devices, which combine an isolated transistor and an isolated rectifier manufactured in the TLM832D Tiny Leadless ModuleT (TLMT) package. The CTLM1034-M832D is comprised of a 40V, 1.0A low VCE(SAT) NPN transistor and 40V, 1.0A low VF Schottky rectifier. The complementary CTLM1074-M832D is comprised of a 40V, 1.0A low VCE(SAT) PNP transistor and 40V, 1.0A low VF Schottky rectifier. Both devices are ideal for a wide variety of portable battery powered circuit applications including: DC-DC converters, switching circuits, and LCD backlighting. The transistor of each device features a desirable low

The SOD-123F, with outline dimensions of 1.8 x 2.8 x 0.98 mm, is essentially the same size as the SOD-123, but that is where the similarity ends. This new device is the World's first TC Zener in a plastic surface mount package. Utilizing a new proprietary process technique, the CMKTC825A provides a highly stable reference voltage of 6.2V with only a small change of less than 0.28mV/¢XC over the temperature range of -55¢XC to +100¢XC. This is a considerable improvement compared to a standard Zener diode, which typically exhibits a voltage change of 500mV over the same temperature range, In addition, the CMKTC825A occupies only 4.2mm² of circuit board space and has a low profile of 1.0mm.

This new device features an improved standard maximum rated peak repetitive reverse voltage of 40V instead of 30V and maximum rated continuous forward current of 200 mA instead of 100mA. In addition, the maximum forward voltage drop has been reduced to 0.42V from 0.45V. This next generation of smaller, enhanced discrete semiconductors manufactured by Central has been designed for portable handheld electronic devices requiring superior performance and reliability in the smallest possible package. The CMOSH-4E in the SOD-523 package requires 55% less circuit board space than a SOD-323 and 78% less space than a SOD-123.

CMLDM7002A, the Smallest DUAL DMOS FET...

Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the release of the CMLDM7002A, Dual N-Channel Enhancement-mode DMOS FET. This new PICOmini™ device is the smallest Dual DMOS FET and provides improved specifications when compared to the industry standard 2N7002 device type. The CMLDM7002A consists of two individual 7002A DMOS FETs manufactured by the N-Channel DMOS process, and is epoxy molded in a six lead SOT-563 surface mount package. The SOT-563 utilizes 68% less board space than an equivalent device packaged in a SOT-26 case. This device boasts a low VDS (ON) of 1.0 Volt (max) and is perfect for motor control, high speed pulsed amplifier and general purpose line driver applications.

announces the release of the CZSH5-40, the smallest surface mount 5 Amp Power Schottky Rectifier packaged in the small signal SOT-223 case. This new device is a single 5.0 Amp, 40 Volt chip manufactured by the epitaxial planar process and designed to meet high current DC/DC or AC/DC rectification applications for all types of commercial, industrial, entertainment, computer and automotive products. 

The CZSH5-40 provides a lower (1.7mm) profile than the standard DPAK (2.4mm) or SMC (2.6mm) packages. Central Semiconductor Corp. announces the release of the new 6263 series of High Voltage, Low Current, Low VF Schottky Diodes.  Manufactured in a wide variety of SMD packages, including the SUBONE package profile, the 6263 series offers designers a higher 70 Volt VRRM plus a desirable 410 mV max. forward voltage drop.  This series is based on the original 1N6263 and 1N5711 devices.

High Current Schottky Rectifiers in SOD-123 Case...
Central Semiconductor now manufactures two new 0.5 Amp Schottky rectifiers in a SOD-123 surface mount package. These rectifiers are designed for fast switching, high current applications and available with a peak reverse voltage of 40 Volts or 20 Volts (with low VF).  The SOD-123 package is a direct replacement to the SOD-80 case and offers improved onsertion characteristics.

Dual Transistors in SOT-26Case...

Central Semiconductor announces the release of a new family of Dual Transistors in an SOT-26 surface mount package. This new SUPERmini
series has been designed to replace the need for 2 individual SOT-23 devices. The integration of two devices in a single SOT-26 case utilizes approximately 60% less board space than 2 individual SOT-23 packages.

Single and Dual Zener Diodes in SOT-323 Case..
Central has added several new devices in the SUPERminiTM  family. These new 250mW devices offer increased space, weight, and height savings over their counterparts in the SOT-23 package. Now available in a Single Diode CMSZ5221B series with voltages from 2.4 Volts thru 47 Volts, and also the Dual Diode CMSZDA3V6 series with voltages from 3.6 Volts thru 33 Volts. Both series are ideal for portable and hand-held applications such as modems, cell phones and pagers, where board space is at a premium.

Another new addition to the  SUPERmini
TM  family,  these high current devices are ideal for applications such as detectors, mixers, and others which require a low VF, minimal board space, and an extremely fast switching speed. As compared to the SOT-23, the SOT-323 is 39% smaller, weighs 50% less, and has a 22% lower profile.
